Audit Manager
Hire Resolve is partnering with a major CPA firm in Lafayette, LA that is seeking an Audit Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading audit engagements, mentoring audit staff, preparing audit reports, and managing client relationships. You would also work with business allies to identify areas for improvement, as well as process and system control recommendations. The successful candidate will be able to develop a good working relationship with clients and other audit team members while demonstrating leadership qualities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead audit engagements including planning, executing, directing, and completing financial audits under set timelines
Develop, maintain, and manage long-term working relationships with clients - Ensure audit procedures comply with industry standard
- Organize and present audit findings to clients
- Effectively manage relationships and communicate feedback with clients and the audit team
- Train and mentor audit staff to identify areas of improvement in the audit process while providing meaningful feedback
- Monitor progress on all audit engagements to ensure timely completion
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Working knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, IFRS and financial statements
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to lead and motivate audit staff
- Be results driven, detail-oriented and able to multitask
