Design Engineer Water Resources

An industry-leading company located in Baltimore, MD is immediately seeking the expertise of an experienced Design Engineer Water Resources to join their team.

Position Overview:

The Design Engineer will serve on the design team for key water and environmental projects. Typical projects include:

  • Stormwater management structures design
  • Green infrastructure design
  • Stormwater management structure inspections
  • Roadway design for stormwater
  • Site layout and grading
  • Permitting for SWM designs
  • Stream design
  • MS4 requirements for SWM

Responsibilities:

  • Develop design plans such as schedules and detailed phases of projects.
  • Revise drawings and completes standard calculations used in the completion of engineering plans.
  • Provide direction and technical guidance on stormwater projects.
  • Assess (or assists with assessing, depending on experience) the feasibility and soundness/validity of proposed engineering evaluations.
  • Ensure proper quality control procedures are implemented on all projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • EIT or PE preferred.
  • Targeting 0-5 years’ design experience and/or interest in stormwater management/design, environmental stream design, green infrastructure, H&H design.
  • Experience in a wide range of projects including NPDES permitting, water quality analyses and studies, regulatory compliance, water and wastewater system studies/reports and associated design of improvements preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD to complete design projects.
  • Self-motivated critical thinker that is willing to work both collaboratively and independently.
