You’ll play a key role in managing the full project lifecycle — from initial concept to final inspection — while working alongside experienced professionals across structural, civil, traffic, survey, and GIS departments.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and oversee the design, analysis, rehabilitation, and replacement of bridge and transportation structures.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and ensure the successful execution of projects — on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring responsiveness to their needs.
  • Perform and oversee structural calculations, technical drawings, design reports, and regulatory submittals.
  • Coordinate with PennDOT, local agencies, and municipalities for permits, approvals, and design reviews.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their technical and professional development.
  • Assist with project proposals, cost estimates, and client presentations.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s a plus).
  • PE license required (PA preferred or ability to obtain).
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in bridge engineering and project management.
  • Proficiency in AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, PennDOT design standards, and relevant codes.
  • Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD, RISA, CSiBridge, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of bridge inspection, load rating, and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, manage teams, and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
