Chemical/Environmental Engineer

An industry-leading client of ours is currently looking for an ambitious and talented Chemical/Environmental Engineer to join their team of professionals.


  • Critical thinker, able to identify issues and opportunities, and provide solutions while considering the perspectives and values of multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and proven ability to interact with diverse and cross-cultural clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience with US Environmental Protection Agency’s Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) programs and initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking and presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Attention to detail, quality control procedures, and accuracy.
  • Culturally sensitive and respectful.
  • Analyzing solid waste management strategies using existing tools such as RTI’s Municipal Solid Waste Decision Support Tool;
  • Analyzing the technical feasibility, cost, and life cycle environmental impacts of traditional and emerging waste management technologies.
  • Conducting assessments of the economic and social impacts as related to waste management.
  • Conducting analyses to support vulnerability assessment of waste management infrastructure.
  • Preparing waste strategy, policy, and technical guidance documentation.
  • Leading and managing projects with public, private and international sector clients.
  • Leading and providing input to proposal opportunities.


  • Master’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or related fields 3 years of relevant work experience; or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or related field with 5 years of relevant work experience
