Chemical/Environmental Engineer
An industry-leading client of ours is currently looking for an ambitious and talented Chemical/Environmental Engineer to join their team of professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Critical thinker, able to identify issues and opportunities, and provide solutions while considering the perspectives and values of multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and proven ability to interact with diverse and cross-cultural clients and stakeholders.
- Experience with US Environmental Protection Agency’s Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) programs and initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking and presentation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail, quality control procedures, and accuracy.
- Culturally sensitive and respectful.
- Analyzing solid waste management strategies using existing tools such as RTI’s Municipal Solid Waste Decision Support Tool;
- Analyzing the technical feasibility, cost, and life cycle environmental impacts of traditional and emerging waste management technologies.
- Conducting assessments of the economic and social impacts as related to waste management.
- Conducting analyses to support vulnerability assessment of waste management infrastructure.
- Preparing waste strategy, policy, and technical guidance documentation.
- Leading and managing projects with public, private and international sector clients.
- Leading and providing input to proposal opportunities.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or related fields 3 years of relevant work experience; or
- Bachelor’s Degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or related field with 5 years of relevant work experience
