Overview
Civil Designer I
An industry-leading company located in Greenville, SC is immediately seeking the expertise of an experienced Civil Designer I to join their team.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work to develop the understanding and knowledge of civil design as well as SW+ design, computer, general office standards
- Contributes and support the engineering team in master planning, engineering design, and research for specific task on projects
- Assist engineers and project managers in the analysis of proposed and current projects
- Seek mentorship on analyzing plan presentation, reliability, engineering design, project scopes and delivery timelines
Education:
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college/university preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years CAD Tech experience, previous Civil Engineering internship experience with a Civil Engineering design firm, and/or AutoCAD certification required
Desired Skills:
- Basic AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills required
- Engineer -in-Training (EIT)/ Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) registration preferred
- A strong desire for continuous professional and personal development and improvement
- Ability to work independently to effectively manage time and work in a team environment
- Proficiency in a wide variety of software programs including Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge of Civil Engineering Design (Preliminary Plats, SWPPP, Grading, Drainage, Water, and Sewer Systems)
- Ability to read and understand Civil and Landscape drawings
- A valid driver’s license
