Key Account Sales Manager (CPG Industry) Jobs in Houston Texas Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Key Account Sales Manager (KAM) to maintain and expand relationships with strategic and high-value customers in the CPG industry. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, onboarding new clients, and ensuring client satisfaction. The KAM will collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to identify opportunities, implement sales strategies, and ensure successful execution of promotions and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management & Relationship Building
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major retail clients and wholesalers.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with key accounts, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to review performance, identify opportunities, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Resolve conflicts proactively and build long-term partnerships to drive client loyalty.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and account plans to achieve growth targets.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling products within accounts.
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to meet or exceed targets.
  • Collaborate with clients to optimize product placement, increase shelf visibility, and enhance category performance.

Business Development & Representation

  • Participate in new business pitches and client onboarding processes.
  • Attend industry meetings, conventions, and training workshops to stay current on trends and develop relationships.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment with client objectives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in key account management, preferably within the CPG or retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales, merchandising, and trade marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, monitor performance, and implement actionable strategies.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
