Landscape Architect
An industry-leading company located in Charlotte, NC is immediately seeking the expertise of an experienced Landscape Architect to join their team.
The Land Planner IV is responsible for supporting the Team Leader with design efforts and preparation of preliminary cost estimates while managing multiple small projects and/or complex projects. This position is responsible for mentoring and directing the work of Land Planners I-IV. In this position, the Land Planner IV will work to further develop public presentation skills, and leadership techniques, enhance technical specifications and lead efforts to provide presentation material.
Essential Job Functions:
- Support Team Leader with design efforts
- Prepare preliminary cost estimates
- Manage small and complex projects
- Prepare construction details and specification
- Mentorship of Land Planners
- Prepare grading plans
- Build and establish relationships with regulatory agencies
- Meet with Clients to represent SW+ in a professional manner
- Provide redline sets of design drawings
- Attend and present at Public Agency meetings
- Assist in the development of contracts
- Continue education to broaden technical and management skills
- Perform construction observations and reports
- Conduct Pre-Bid and Pre-Construction meetings
- Continue education to broaden technical and management skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture
- 5+ years’ experience in a professional design office; must meet and exceed expectations of a Land Planner III
