Are you an experienced structural engineer ready to take the lead on impactful infrastructure projects? This is a standout opportunity to join a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering firm as a Project Manager – Structural Engineer. You’ll work with long-term municipal and institutional clients, delivering safe, innovative, and community-enhancing projects.

You’ll manage a diverse portfolio of structural design work — from municipal buildings and public safety facilities to infrastructure rehabilitation and utility support structures — while collaborating closely with in-house experts in civil, bridge, traffic, water/wastewater, GIS, and surveying.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.
  • Prepare and review structural designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications across a range of building and infrastructure types.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to deliver cohesive, multi-discipline solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, presenting project updates, navigating approvals, and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and drafters, promoting team development and technical excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety standards, and permitting requirements.
  • Participate in project scoping, proposal writing, and fee development for new opportunities.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • PE license required (PA preferred or ability to obtain quickly).
  • 6+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, including project management responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis/design tools such as RISA, STAAD, RAM, Revit, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry design.
  • Familiarity with public-sector infrastructure and building projects, especially within Pennsylvania.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
