Structural Project Engineer – San Francisco, CA
An industry-leading Civil and Structural Engineering client is looking for a Structural Project Engineer to join their San Francisco branch.
Responsibilities:
- Developing, coordination, and directing the production of engineering project documents
- Preparing of fee proposals and contracts
- Developing workload schedules and projections for project staff
- Overseeing and performing calculations, design, and analysis of applicable elements for projects
- Collaboration with the engineering and drafting teams to coordinate design details and construction document requirements
- Oversee/perform construction observations and write reports
- Reviewing of shop drawings during construction
- Evaluating additional service requests, review billing, and coordinate permit responses and construction support services
- Developing a client base
Requirements:
- Civil Engineering degree from a ABET accredited university
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Master’s degree and SE license preferred
- 4-8 years of structural project management experience
- Experience designing and managing projects using steel, concrete, wood, and masonry design materials
- Skilled at designing all categories of seismic and gravity framing systems for every building and material type
- Manage your time, juggling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Ability to lead and train junior engineers and coordinate with BIM Designers
- Build strong client relationships and provide excellent service
- Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders – clients, and design and construction teams
