Tax Manager
Hire Resolve has a client based in Los Angeles, CA that is seeking an experienced Remote Tax Manager to oversee its tax compliance and planning activities. As Tax Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders to monitor and manage tax risks, ensure compliance with tax legislation, and identify tax-efficient business strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax compliance issues and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts; also prepares related income tax work papers
- Prepare and file tax return filings for C-Corp., S Corp., Partnership and Individual clients
- Collect relevant documentation and financial statements
- Identify accounting and income tax issues and proposes strategies to resolve them
- Represent clients to applicable agencies as needed
- Plan and develop overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with tax team
- Properly research and seek advice from Managing Partners when confronted with challenging tax circumstances
- Manage and document tax staff workload, identifying each team member’s workload capabilities
- Maintain effective procedures over all aspects of the Firm’s tax process
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study
- 3-5 years of recognized Business and Individual tax preparation experience
- QuickBooks Experience
- Knowledge of US tax laws, regulations and deadlines
