Water Resources Project Engineer
Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Water Resources Project Engineer in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects
- Perform design computations
- Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools
- Develop construction cost estimates
- Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction
- Prepare and compile contract plans, specifications, and estimates
- Manage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines
- Develop extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals
- Attend meetings with clients
- Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality
- Nonessential Functions And Responsibilities
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited engineering program
- 5-10 years’ experience in Water Resources or related engineering discipline
- Proficient in Microstation and/or Civil 3D CADD software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed
